I drove in from dropping Vanessa off at the Malpensa Airport. I was ready to spend my Sunday afternoon just chilling and exploring the nearby lake with a “heart shaped tree” and with “very romantic spots to sit and contemplate,” according to the locals at the hotel.
The Relais Castillo di Casiglio @castellodicasiglio was breathtaking, arresting at first view and seemed to instantly welcome into some time warp where the past and the modern present agreed to collide in some time warp of its own. The welcome was warm and irreproachable, my rooms fabulously cozy and beautiful, the restaurant stellar, the grounds absolutely charming!
Castello di Casiglio is a jewel to discover! The entire renovation of its rooms, which took place in the winter of 2021, has not altered this beautiful ancient Manor but has re-evaluated its history and traditions. Castello di Casiglio is not just a hotel but a restaurant also open to outsiders, a location for meetings, weddings and private events, with the aim of making the experience unique for each of them. The location is absolutely strategic because it easily reaches tourist attractions such as Como, Lecco, Bellagio and Milan.
I will definitely stay here again and also to check out their upcoming spa which is scheduled to be completed December of this year!
