5 Apps to Make Traveling with Your Dog(s) Not Ruff!

Updated: Oct 30, 2022

As you all know, I have two Maltese dogs, who are like my kiddos, and sometimes I'll travel with them. Other times where I feel it would just be too much hassle, I leave them with a pet sitter that I usually hire via the app ROVER.

I discovered an amazing app that makes it easier and less stressful to travel with your furry friend. If you don't have BRING FIDO on your phone, it's time for you to download it!

It's helped me so much so far in planning trips, especially road trips to other states, with places to stay and eat that are pet-friendly.

Another app that is very similar to Rover is WAG! - This app is to find a dog walker or sitter in all major cities in the USA. I love this app more than Rover because they also use a portion of what you pay to help dog shelters with meals. A portion of the proceeds from each walk you book helps to feed a shelter dog in your area. It’s just one of the many ways Wag gives back and helps you become a part of something larger.

Fourth on the list is more an App to entertain your dog while traveling, to get their attention if not listening like my dogs; it's the DOG TEASER App. This App is a simple and easy-to-use soundboard to tease your dog (or other pet) with! Squeaky toy sounds, animal sounds, alarms, dog whistle and so much more! The app allows you to play multiple sounds at once

and if you want to get creative you could also make up tunes with it! I am not sure who'll end up more entertained, you or your dog!

Lastly, BABELBARK - An App for Pets! This app connects you with the people you trust to co-care—tracking your pet’s health, helping you find caregivers, and allowing easy access to your pet’s health dashboard within your shared pet community..

BONUS APP: If you are planning to travel to Italy with your dog or cat, here is the App for you: Travelling with Cats & Dogs
